Specification |
Lecture senior (fourth and fifth year) veterinary students in selected topics of Companion Animal Clinical Studies including but not limited to medical and surgical gastroenterology of companion animals. Co-ordinate student rotations in the Isolation Ward. Conduct practical sessions in the Skills lab/wet lab, and where applicable with live animals. Conduct continuous assessment of students, setting and marking of examinations. Participate in organization and implementation of sixth year clinical rotation training. Attending to clinical cases of companion animals at Neudamm Veterinary Hospital as required.
Active participation in research and community service in the School of Veterinary Medicine. |

Requirements |
Unconditional Registration as a Veterinarian in Namibia, and at least 8 continuous years’ relevant continuous experience in companion animal veterinary practice, alternatively a relevant Masters degree or PhD. BVM or equivalent. Previous experience lecturing at a tertiary institution is highly recommended. Good organizational/leadership skills. Current participation in community service activities and research will be an advantage.
