Responsibilities:

  • Working with new and existing customers, making outbound calls to determine needs and interests
  • Ensures that in telephonically dealing with customers, the customer experiences the Old Mutual brand promise
  • Adheres to business, process and compliance rules
  • Markets Old Mutual services and products to individual clients in accordance with predetermined script
  • Initiates and identifies sales opportunities for Financial Advisors
  • Builds relationships with new and existing clients and Financial Advisors
  • Reviews the client portfolio telephonically with the client
  • Identifies new and enhanced products and services to match client’s needs and gaps
  • Assists the Financial Advisor in growing the share of wallet with each client
  • Provides the Financial Advisor with potential leads generated via telephonic discussion with client.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Matric with 21 points
  • Experience in a sales or service unit within the Financial Services industry (min 12 months)
  • Proven sales track record would be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Goal and sales results drive
  • High on initiating action to convert leads into appointments
  • High quality orientation
  • Effectively meeting client needs; and giving customers a great Old Mutual brand experience.
  • Develop approaches that best position products, services and financial advice to prospective clients to illustrate the customer value proposition.
