Purpose of the Job:
As Manager for Business Advisory, the role requires an innovative leader that can streamline and best understand the needs of Micro, Small, Medium and Startup enterprises. Scaling MSMEs requires an in-depth understanding of coaching and mentorship, with a passion for business and all the dynamics of establishing and running a successful enterprise. Planning and executing business strategies to improve MSME efficiency in the scaling of their businesses is essential. The role requires great attention to detail and strong leadership qualities..
Role and Responsibilities:
- Evaluating the effects of existing Namibian MSMEs and establishing relevant frameworks that guide the impact and scalability of the Micro, Small, Medium and Startup enterprises
- Formulation of reports which condense and summarize information and display key evidence for review
- Developing workplans that contribute to the delivery of outputs of the department and the company
- Overseeing delivery and implementation of the workplans through consultants, service providers and stakeholders to ensure high quality output
- Promoting networking and knowledge sharing and ensuring consistency between workplans and interventions to develop strategic linkages for supported initiatives
- Coordination with key partners to advance, cultivate, and maintain key relationships with stakeholders
- Develop and coordinate the impact initiatives for MSMEs nationwide, while ensuring service delivery at the MSME ‘one stop shop’
- Coordinating and overseeing the Registration, Endorsement and Accreditation functions of the company for MSMEs
- Mapping out of and liaising with key stakeholders, to foster mutually beneficial smart partnerships
- Contribute, support and influence strategy for the MSME division of the company
- Undertake other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business or Public Administration Management or any other related field
- An Honours or Masters degree will be an added advantage
- 7 – 8 years’ experience in a related field of MSME development, Business Management or Business Administration, and at least 4 years should have been in a managerial role
- Demonstrable understanding and exposure to the challenges facing MSMEs locally, in the region, as well as direct experience with MSME projects
