purpose

To lead the Ashburton Group of companies through the development of sustainable growth strategies in all areas of the business including product offering, distribution networks, investment strategy and platform offerings

experience and qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification – Honors degree in Finance, Business, Economics or similar
  • Experience – 8-12 years’ experience in the financial industry, of which at least 4 years at Executive Level

additional requirements

  •       Experience: Prior experience in asset management or unit trust management is essential

responsibilities

  • Demonstrate leadership by providing strategic direction, fostering high ethical standards in meeting Organisational vision and goals, and design and implement strategies that maximise employee potential
  • Drive shareholder value through profitable and integrated frameworks, guidelines and optimisation plans
  • Ensure business strategy of area of accountability is adequately budgeted for to drive the financial performance of the business
  • Drive revenue targets and market share growth by identifying new markets, customer segments, products and services
  • Define and facilitate the Business customer service value proposition
  • Reshape, align and enhance the customer service experience across the business
  • Drive strategic relationships with relevant peers to enable optimisation of the business value chain
  • Drive the development and implementation of integrated corporate governance, compliance, integrity and ethics frameworks throughout the business
  • Use insights and knowledge gained from high level reports to influence direction of the business to ensure organisation performance against long-term strategy and make necessary adjustments
  • Align, integrate and innovate in area of speciality across the Business to enable the creation of integrated and specialised solutions and sustainable competitive advantage
  • Define and develop integrated sales strategies for different customer segments
  • Increase net interest income growth for the year per budget by preparing and processing of interest rate proposals to segments in the group
  • Lead implementation of performance management plan that optimises delivery and builds a culture of recognition and fairness across the business area
  • Ensure development and implementation of the business Transformation plan and creation of an inclusive culture for employees
  • Encourage, establish and maintain strategic relationships across multiple functional areas to enable collaboration and knowledge sharing across function 48224
