Costing Officer x2 – UNIVERSITY OF NAMIBIA

The University of Namibia invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the vacant Costing Officer Positions in the Office of the Bursar.

The main duties of the position are:
1. Costing: Processing, maintaining and analyzing data used for costing determinations , updating the costing database when rates, rules or regulations are amended and so forth;
2. Cost allocations: Verifying the accuracy of the purchase orders, allocating costs to appropriate accounts and cost centers, resolving discrepancies with the procurement section;
3.Reporting: Providing departments with ad hoc cost centers’ reports.

A Diploma in Accounting and Finance or Commerce coupled with at least a minimum of two years’ experience in costing.
