purpose:
To develop a comprehensive lending strategy aligned to Segment strategic objectives in area of responsibility to proactively acquire new clients and develop, maintain and expand existing client portfolios
Responsibilities:
- Translate business strategy into actionable goals and execute relevant projects and initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress and ensure execution
- Manage team performance in achievement of business objectives
- Provide accurate and meaningful information on specialised lending products to internal customers
- Grow market share and achieve revenue target from existing and new clients
- Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy, and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy
- Manages risks in own area of responsibility
- Creates solutions to meet customer demands to deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards
- Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
- Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
- Identify opportunities to expand customer base with potentially profitable customers
- Provide input into the budget and manage and report on budget usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualification – Relevant Post Graduate Degree in Finance or Economics or Accounting
- Experience – 3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at junior (entry level) management level
