PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: :

Responsible for the production of baked goods for required hotel food and beverage outlets.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Oversee and operate bakery section
  • Ensure optimum production, quality, and taste of bakery products
  • Monitor and control food cost
  • Estimate baking needs, requisition adequate supplies, inventories supply, and keep records of products made and used
  • Ensures bakery and equipment are maintained according to proper health and safety as well sanitation standards
  • Assist in the development of new bakery products
  • Procurement/Food Financial controls

Requirements and experience:

  • 3-year apprenticeship in bakery or Diploma in artisan baking
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical/hands-on experience in a bakery or Hotel with a bakery section
