Specification |
Conduct lectures with clinical medical students in the Maternal and Child Health, Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The successful candidate is expected to moderate seminars/tutorials to clinical students in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, prepare and administer post-seminar tests to medical students, conduct bedside teaching to clinical medical students, teach and demonstrate procedures to clinical medical students in clinics, wards and operating theatres, carry out research, supervise students research projects, evaluate and assess clinical medical students, assess students’ performance including continuous assessments and tests, monitor of students attendance and signing of logbooks, evaluate and asses students assignments, prepare/set examination for clinical students both written and clinical, participate in internal moderation of draft examination question papers, invigilation of examinations and perform any other duties as may be required.

Requirements |
Essentials
Associate Professor: A relevant Master’s degree following a clinical entry-level degree coupled with 12 years clinical experience as a minimum of 3 years teaching experience with a cumulative record of seventeen (17) publications of which at least six (6) must be refereed scholarly works. Registered or registerable with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA). Desirables •Evidence of collaborative research leading successful impact |
