PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
This is a new position to build capacity within the finance division. The incumbent will report to the Manager: Finance. He / she will be a young dynamic employment equity candidate who will have the opportunity to gain experience in the various departments, leading & managing designated teams on a rotational basis. This position will require a meticulous, well-balanced allrounder with relevant experience and strong leadership abilities. The candidate must be willing to learn different aspects of the business and offer support to the other divisions / departments with advice on financial matters.
- Takes responsibility for financial reporting and procedures for the dedicated function
- Manage different functions including, but not limited to:
- Debtors
- Creditors / Payments
- Treasury
- General Ledger
- Tax
- Operational support
- Assists in the annual budgeting process
- Assist with the annual audit, and preparation of Agra’s annual financial statements
- Assists in updating Agra’s policies and procedures for the finance division
- Assist in the monthly reporting and reconciliation of the dedicated department
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Namibian citizenship
- A Bachelor of Commerce degree from a recognised university specialising in finance, and/ or accounting/ management accounting
- 8 – 10 years of well-rounded relevant experience (including Management, Debtors, Creditors and operational experience)
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Computer literate (MS Office; Enterprise Resource Planning system)
