Specification |
Provide academic, psychosocial and other support services to students at Khomasdal and Hage Geingob Campuses; Develop support programmes for students; Coordinate student empowering programmes; Establish monitoring procedures for academic progress; Tailor programmes for students that will contribute towards social and academic growth; Employ the integrated approach in social work or psychology in problem solving; Assess problems and employ a relevant approach for group and community work; Create groups and communities in order to address specific needs of students; Develop programmes that will address specific needs of students at Khomasdal and Hage Geingob Campuses; Continuously evaluate programmes in collaboration with the counselling team; On call responsibilities; and perform any other related duties as may be required.

Requirements |
A Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Psychology or any relevant field. Must be registered with the Health Professional Council of Namibia, with five (5) years experience in any of the above field of studies. Must have experience in working with diverse student population; Strong interpersonal and group presentation skills; Should be able to give effective advice, guidance and counselling; Ability to assess students needs and design programs to address them through knowledge and understanding of student issues at university level.
