Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for providing for administration support services in the Office of the Mayor, attend, handling of incoming and outgoing mails and assist with protocol arrangements at public events
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS::
- Responsible for providing administrative support services.
- Handling customers enquiries and direction at front office desk.
- Assist with protocol arrangements at public events involving Councilors.
- Operating the telephone exchange, copier, scanner and facsimile.
- Responsible for sourcing of gifts and souvenirs for the Mayoral guests
Skills, Experience & Education
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
- Grade 12 plus Certificate: Office Administration/Secretarial/Office Practice.
REQUIRED SPECIALIZATION:
- Office administration/Office practice
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum period of three (3) years job related experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Office practice, typing, filling, protocol standards, local government environment, diplomacy, professional ethics and intergovernmental relations.
SKILLS:
- Communication, planning and organizing, administrative, attention to details and analytical skills.
