Key areas of responsibility:
- Sourcing quality products
- Recieiving of authorized requisitions
- Issuing of orders
- Arraging of inbound logisitics
- Following up on orders to ensure timeous delivery
- Assisiting with Administrative matters of the department
- Taking part in ad hoc projects
Qualifying requirements:
- Grade 12 (20 Points minimum)
- A qualification within the procurement/supply chain field (Added Advantage)
- A minimum 5 years working experience in buying (Preferable in a mining environment)
- Technical background in mining industry an advantage
- Competent to manage a wide range of priorities under pressure, able to work independently while maintaining efficiency and accuracy
- Good negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsot Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Knowledge of general business computer software
- Excellent communication skills and English Literacy Skills
