POSITION: MULTIMEDIA & GRAPHIC DESIGNER (1 year fixed term contract)

MAXIMUM : N$ 422, 448. 00 (Total Employment Cost)
PRIMARY PURPOSE
To support the marketing and business development unit with creating graphic designs for all projects required in the company, including digital and social media, brand campaigns and events.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Marketing, Communication & Sales:
ï‚· Support the overall marketing, public relations, and communications objectives of NIPAM both externally and internally.
ï‚· Contribute to stakeholder newsletter
ï‚· Contribute to the creative planning of corporate campaigns and events.
Marketing Strategy / Projects:
ï‚· Assist with the implementation of specific marketing campaigns and promotional events.
Design:
ï‚· Develop and design marketing items, such as posters, pamphlets, advertising boards, newsletters, flyers, invites, adverts based on a standard design template.
ï‚· Provide creative guidance and propose innovative ideas around imagery as and when required.
ï‚· Develop and design templates for the Institution.
ï‚· Provide and manage all graphics/imagery requested by the Institution.
ï‚· Edit photos for usage within print and digital media.
ï‚· Perform video editing & basic animation for social media.
Social Media:
ï‚· Support the marketing & business development unit with implementing social media strategy.
ï‚· Support and facilitate the development of content.
ï‚· Assist with managing social media sites, including writing innovative & engaging posts.
ï‚· Schedule, publish & share daily content.
ï‚· Review social media trends & developments and brings forth recommendations.
Administration, Evaluation and Reporting:
ï‚· Ensure effective distribution of all promotional material to all business Units.
ï‚· Provide inputs in the overall business unit reports being prepared.
ï‚· Provide progress reports on campaigns to ensure effective business Unit communications.
Personal effectiveness and competency development:
ï‚· With guidance from the supervisor, compiles and implement, own Performance agreement according to set guidelines.
ï‚· Takes proactive action regarding recording and providing evidence supporting regular performance reviews undertaken with the supervisor.
ï‚· Within set timeframes, complete own annual personal development plan for review by a supervisor.
ï‚· Attends approved developmental programs and ensures learning to close any identified skills gaps within agreed periods.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
ï‚· Degree in Graphic Design/Marketing or relevant qualification.
ï‚· NQF Level 7
ï‚· Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in marketing & public relations or communication. Special requirements / licenses
ï‚· A qualification in Adobe design or a similar relevant design programme would be an added advantage.
