Purpose:

Reporting to the Audit Partner, the Manager is responsible for performing day-to-day auditing related activities as assigned to him / her by the Senior Audit Manager/Audit Partner.

 

In particular, the Audit Manager is responsible to:

  • Understand the Firms Risk and Quality procedures, ensuring adherence to these by self and sub-ordinates;
  • Contribute to the culture of Quality, Ethical and Professional Behaviour of the Firm in a positive manner

 

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret, understand and execute the detailed instructions / audit programme / assignment to meet the Client expectations on each assignment;
  • Understand the departmental budget and objective of the department;
  • Explain and set-up of Level 1 until Level 4 Audit Trainees to execute detailed instructions / accounting programmes / assignments;
  • Supervise, train and assist Level 1 until Level 4 Audit Trainees in their execution of detailed instructions / auditing programmes / assignments;

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant/Chartered Certified Accountnat and registered with a recognised institute (ICAN, ACCA, SAICA)
  • 10 Years experience in Auditing
  • 3-5 Years management experience;
  • PAAB Registered assessor;
  • Clear understanding of the PAAB training process;
  • Excellent working knowledge of the latest PAAB training regulations;
  • High workable knowledge of CaseWare working papers, APT (BDO International audit program), MS Office, Pastel Accounting and Payroll etc.;
  • Dedicated and ambitious personality, with a passion to deliver the highest quality service to our clients;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication;
  • Ability to work independintly and in a team;
  • Ability to work under pressure.
