PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Planning and forecasting of stock
- Ordering of stock as per reordering schedule, or special circumstances/ requests
- Managing price changes (adhering to suggested mark-ups, but taking into account local circumstances)
- Offering product advice to customers and staff members
- Management of promotions and specials
- All related administration of stock (e.g. GOB process, correct prices, transport costs and mark-ups)
- Creates quotations / orders as per customer requests (e.g. special orders/ requests)
- Proactively assists in the management of stock losses
- Conducts and assists in cycle counts
- Assist with effective control of received stock
- Ensures that the goods receiving process is followed
- Ensure good general housekeeping and health and safety at the receiving bay, including cleanliness of the entrance to the receiving area
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Namibian citizenship
- A Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum 3 years related experience in Retail with strong emphasis on Animal Health (strong requirement)
- Successful completion of an animal health course will serve as a distinct advantage
- A valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
- Must be computer literate (MS Office package with specific regard to MS Excel)
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
