PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Planning and forecasting of stock
  • Ordering of stock as per reordering schedule, or special circumstances/ requests
  • Managing price changes (adhering to suggested mark-ups, but taking into account local circumstances)
  • Offering product advice to customers and staff members
  • Management of promotions and specials
  • All related administration of stock (e.g. GOB process, correct prices, transport costs and mark-ups)
  • Creates quotations / orders as per customer requests (e.g. special orders/ requests)
  • Proactively assists in the management of stock losses
  • Conducts and assists in cycle counts
  • Assist with effective control of received stock
  • Ensures that the goods receiving process is followed
  • Ensure good general housekeeping and health and safety at the receiving bay, including cleanliness of the entrance to the receiving area

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Namibian citizenship
  • A Grade 12 Certificate
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in Retail with strong emphasis on Animal Health (strong requirement)
  • Successful completion of an animal health course will serve as a distinct advantage
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
  • Must be computer literate (MS Office package with specific regard to MS Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
